Birthday Card

I've had the opportunity to teach a few children's art classes recently and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The school has since commissioned me to design a couple birthday cards for their students. This is one of the roughs from an early design.

Do you do these with pencil? Or do you draw with conte crayon? They look like they were drawn fairly large. Thanks for visiting my blog. Your designs are inspiring.

Where do you work right now?

This is great! I love that kid... he's so happy and so peaceful... not at all concerned that he's probably going to fall to his death when those balloons run out of helium strength. Very simple, but very great!

i thought the splattered mess on my windshield was caused by some really large pelicans flying overhead, but that awesome drawing does offer another possible culprit...
